As the title so rightly says – Good Design Works!
A good design makes an impression and as you should know by now “you never get a second chance to make a first impression!
There is a very small time element to attain and hold the reader’s attention and your most powerful weapon is your design.
WHAT’S IN A GOOD DESIGN?
Firstly, look at your colour scheme. Is it pleasing on the eye? Here are some classic faults.
- Too many colours competing for attention
- Filling every space on the page – white space works
- Dark dominant colours competing against each other instead of a dominant and a recessive working together e.g. dark blue and light grey works but dark green and dark red does not!
- Poor choice of typefaces
